I want to thank you all for replying and for your support. The suggestions were great and as I tend to be an overly cautious person, I think I will take the measures lowrider suggested to reduce the risk of damage, ESPECIALLY since the stove is colored. I assure you, this stove will be used, but babied at the same time. I WANTED this stove. The final bidding on this stove was frantic and I was NOT going to let it get away. Believe it or not, but when I made my initial bid a few days before the auction ended, I set my spending limit at $500. So much for resolutions!
I intend to make this the centerpiece of my restored kitchen, if not, the whole house.
Thanks again.

Welcome to the board.
Also suggest you pop off the skirt and unscrew the legs so they won't get broken.
I removed all that stuff and it only takes a few minutes plus it cuts a lot of weight off. I unloaded mine myself when I got home.
